...For Mikuru or someone else? I don't think she'd fit Mikuru, but I do really like her (particularly in Invader Zim). It'd be cool to see her in the dub (or more roles in general).

Melissa Fahn? I would like to hear her voice as Haruhi though as I know she can pull off a rather eccentric voice and still be cute. Heck I can imagine her pull off any scene where Haruhi gets aggravated and pissed off, and I know she can sing well.

I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but has anyone seen the latest, at least to me the latest, source code comments in the asosbrigade website?
They are:

<Do they suspect?>
<It is unclear from the evidence gathered>
<Let us provoke further to increase the reaction rate>
<Is that wise?>
<There is no turning back now>
<They may discover the Other>

It's the last line that has me curious. The other what? Another website? or maybe another secret? It's too vague to accurately tell, but could the other mean the other "Haruhi", as in Ouran High School perhaps? It's just a thought.

You know, I almost wonder if she was TRYING to sound like porn, as may have been her interrpretation of the scene...and trying to please the fanboys, perhaps? Laughing Anyway, I do like Michelle Ruff's work, I'm very pleased with her Chi, Rukia, and Princess Snow dubs. However I thought Sheh fit the part better. Anime smile By the way, thanks to whoever posted it for letting us know who they were, I enjoy researching VAs.

A note; please do not evaluate the voice auditions on the basis of name only; Kadokawa/Bandai kept the voices anonymous so that people would evaluate them on basis of merit, not "brand".

I find it extremely silly for people take offense at comments not applicable to themselves; clearly, there are (of course) "normal folk" who are not voracious zealots when it comes to a fandom, but in my experience an overwhelming number of people fit the weeaboo sterotype fairly accurately, especially when they gather publically in large numbers.

Granted, this site has a skewed number of "civilized" folk due to the strict rules and the informalities that mandate people demonstrate structured thought in order to earn the right to engage in discussion, but ANN does have a number of "crazed fanfolk".

I'm positive that this anime series has California's Bang Zoom! or Animaze, et al. studios dubbing it.
Well done, Bandai has made the finest choice. The best VA work come from Bang Zoom!/Animaze/NGP, et al. *thumbs up*

I'm unsure of voices 2 and 3, and although considering EmperorBrandon's post, I can hear Wendee Lee in voice 1, and definitely Sherry Lynn in voice 4.

I haven't been watching anime as much as I've used to, that's why I can't recognise a few voices.

The voices are good. I haven't watched this anime before, but I found voice #3 least compatible for the character.
Voices 1,2 and 4 are all good. Can't really decide (I don't know maybe Sherry Lynn), I usually like to get to know the character more before I judge the voicing.

Yeah, if you haven't seen the video from that scene, you'd think it's porn. I'm excited about the dub, I usually don't watch the dubs in my anime.

I'd say even the people who HAVE seen the anime version still thought it sounded like porn when taken out of context like that. ;p

I went in trying to see if I could recognized anyone, and I did get Ms. Lynn. I voted for #4 not because I figured out who she was or what she's done before (*glances around*) but because she sounded the best. I didn't compare it to the Japanese voice because I felt that was irrelevant. I could also guess without looking that all four candidates have voiced a Tachikoma.

If there is subsequent fan votes, I want to know, because I want to keep Kari Wahlgren as far away from the title character as humanly possible. ^^;

Ok, so, Stephanie Sheh for Mikuru. I like that.

For Haurhi, I'd like Kari Wahlgren, because I think she'd be able to get Haruhi's energy & bluntness across really well. Or Kate Higgins, because she could deliver the same, plus, she's a singer. spoiler[While I hope the op & ed music remains unchanged, the Haruhi VA will still have to do two songs.]

For Yuki, I dunno.....Michelle Ruff?

[edit] Read the post above mine, apparently we'll be cancelling out each other's vote for Ms Wahlgren. Laughing

I honestly hope Johnny Yong Bosch isn't Kyon. His voice wouldn't particularly fit in mind (Itsuki maybe, but I'm still iffy on that too).

Who would you cast as Kyon? I bet he'll get it because he's good as a younger leading man voice, & he's got name recognition.
