... S3 standard is already showing in their periodic sales, and NOW they release a premium set?

yeah. They release limited editions of shows months after the standard edition is out. However, they do let you know an LE is on the way when they solicit the standard release

Months, sure, but the regular edition of Chihayafuru S3 was released nearly two years ago. It did carry a warning about a forthcoming limited edition, at least.

I'm just glad it's finally getting a release as I was beginning to think they weren't going to put it out.
It's a bit pricey though... I wonder just how actually limited it's going to be. I'm guessing with the time from the initial release and the fact that the 2nd season LE is still available they might have done a small print run, but considering what I got the first two season LEs for, it's hard to bite at that price...

my bad. seems i've forgotten how long its been since season 3 aired as well as when the standard edition was released
