BTW frentymon what is your avatar from?

Hayama Kotono from Saint October, one of the masses of gothloli shows of the season. Has spawned phrases like "GREEN HAIRED KOTONO IS MINE".

She was also in my previous two avatars.

Has it actually been fansubbed yet?

*votes Boradcast Order*

And its currently winning with 70% of the vote.

I wouldn't mind watching it in chronological order at some point, but I wouldn't mind swapping out discs to do so. I believe the Broadcast order is the order it was intended to be viewed in (at least initially) and that it is the best way for the first viewing. Releasing it in Chronological order would, in my opinion, be a mistake.

Ideally they'll release it in both orders, but I could see that as a potentially bad business decision. Oh well, wishful thinking can't hurt.

No, I'm managing without. Saint October is relatively easy to understand compared to titles with dense dialogue and/or heavy jargon, so I can manage to get the gist of the show and understand mostly everything that is going on; 80% by knowledge of Japanese, and 10-15% by conjecture.

I wish my school had Japanese. German isn't all that useful when it comes to anime(although I have had the chance to watch some German subs. Makes me feel like I'm doing something productive). Pity the R1s won't have German subs.

Did anyone else catch this in the source code? Fairly normal keywords, until the end:
Quote:
<meta name="keywords" content="haruhi, suzumiya, melancholy, haruhiism, asos, sos, brigade, kyon, mikuru, yuki, itsuki, the melancholy of haruhi suzumiya, the melancholy of suzumiya haruhi, anime, animation, sosdan, sos brigade, asosbrigade, dan, the greatest anime of all time">
Anime smile Despite their efforts, I didn't see the page on the first 5 pages of Google results upon searching for the phrase in quotes.

Well yeah. That's how you watch it first because they have all the numbers of the episodes on there, so you can sort them out later.

Ahh, okay. Well I've been thinking about getting the raws for this because I was REALLY looking forward to it, and since I can hold my own at what's going on in an anime without subs, I would try. But it could've been a deep show with a lot of stuff I wouldn't inderstand so I didn't.

Some interesting source code (perhaps commentary on recent computer troubles?)

Quote:
<!-- Doctor, how is she? -->
<!-- Her vitals appear good for now -->
<!-- What about the prognosis -->
<!-- I am unable to say for certain yet, it's a very difficult time -->
<!-- Is there any hope? -->
<!-- We really need a higher baseline reading -->
<!-- Do not give up, we're giving her our best treatments -->
<!-- It's all up to him now -->

Oh, and a most definite vote for broadcast order.

It is now confirmed that Natsuko Kuwatani (as Ryoko Asakura) will join Suzumiya Haruhi no Gekisou (check this post if you have no idea what it is) on 3/18. Source.

UPDATE: Full ED dance (without credits or still pictures), TV length version.

That ED dance is ridiculously fluid! I mean, my god!!! Shocked

On another, there's a truck load of updates dealing with the page source. You can read them here:

http://www.animeondvd.com/forum/showtopic.php?tid/15609/tp/76/

Now the most up to date part is this:

Quote:
System restore in progress, 20% completed.

Code:
-- Let us send a delegation to the east coast and make an announcement there --

I think this is it!

As I said on the first page of this thread, there has been rumors about KyoAni using 60 frames/sec for SOS Dance, although I have yet found any source to back this theory.

Very typical coming from the Japanese. Though I haven't seen that style in quite a while.

I'm not even sure that's technologically possible. Confused
