there was an update on ANN main page stating FUNi had Kimi Nozo (aka Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien) and it would be released under the title "Rumbling Hearts" despite the fact it is called "The Eternity You Wish For"

but that update seems to have mysteriously disappeared

i kid you not!

well, personally, i was going to be real happy when KGNE got licensed, but im not happy funi got it, and even more displeased its called something so damn stupid.

hopefully, this will all have been a mistake, and maybe Media Blasters will get it instead

anyway, can a mod/admin fill us in about the disappearing post? Smile

Well I'd love to see KGNE licensed. Yeah, "Rumbling Hearts" sounds kind of stupid at first, but KGNE or the literal translation probably just wouldn't work well.

And as long as they did a good job on the show, I don't care if they had to do a title change. Sometimes, it just has to be done.

And it wasn't a deleted post. It seems there was an update on the main page that was taken down shortly after it was put up.

Like it or not, Rumbling Hearts is the official English title for the games and anime in Japan.

EDIT: Offical page for the game with "Rumbling Hearts" prominently displayed as the title. I withheld posting this link for a few minutes because some of the pictures seemed questionable, but I could not find any pics that were outright pornographic.

the only thing FUNi have impressed me with is FMA.. however, i was VERY impressed by this, i think they did an oustanding job... much better than 80% of ADV, Geneon and Bandai's stuff

shame the rest of funi's stuff is average to below average

Wasn't there already a discussion once, though, that registering domain names does not necessarily equate to a license?

Yeah, but the fact that there was a mysterious disappearing update that named Rumbling Hearts adds alot to it.

that means jack shit, funi register domains which they think are going to be popular... a prime example is BECK...

plus it was regged on october 2005, this is 5 months ago, which means they have had the license for 5 months, and only announced it today? its not likely

If they get the web domains while they are still in the process of getting the license, then it makes perfect sense.

EDIT: New update. Yep, they got KGNE.

No, it means that they are looking at it as a prospective license. The companies do sometimes register domains just to prevent squatters, but they don't always license everything they've registered a domain for. It's happened before, and I know it's been discussed in threads on this site.
