Live Action Adaptation of Buichi Terasawa's Goku Planned
Kaizō Hayashi recently spoke about a proposed live-action adaptation of Buichi Terasawa's Goku that Hayashi hopes to direct.
Hayashi is in Cannes, France to do a presentation about the proposed film at the Cannes Film Festival as part of a promotion effort supported by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.
With regards to the film, director Hayashi said "Goku is a popular comic that has been translated in many nations. [I] was told that we couldn't make the film because it might wreck one's view of the world, but after approaching people for 15 years, we've been given the OK to make it. I believe that it will be a film that will have an impact on the world."
