Errata: Anime on Nickelodeon
posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Upcoming Co-Productions not the first ever anime for Nick
Although it has been a long time since Nickelodeon last broadcast anime Domo-Kun and Akihabara @ DEEP will not bee the first ever anime broadcast on Nickelodeon. Domo-Kun and Akihabara @ DEEP will still be Nickelodeon's first venture into co-producing anime.
Nickelodeon broadcast anime, mostly on the Nick Jr. block, such as
Mitsubachi Maaya no Bōken (Maya the Bee)
Koala Boy Kocky (Adventures of the Little Koala)
Fushigi na Koala Blinky(Noozles)
Mori no Yōki na Kobito-tachi: Berufi to Rirubitto (The Littl' Bits)
And most recently, Deko Boko Friends.
Some anime was also broadcast on Nickelodeon itself, particularly "Taiyo no Ko Esteban" (The Mysterious Cities of Gold), which was a co-production between Pierrot and DiC, 1997's Speed Racer X.
