Studio Ghibli Opens Flag Ship Store in its Men's Clothing Business
On February 11th, the flagship store of Shitateya Studio Ghibli opened at Omotesandô Hills in Jingûmae, Shibuya Ward, Tokyo.
Studio Ghibli started its men's clothing business Shitateya Studio Ghibli in 2004 in collaboration with fashion designer Masaki Matsushima and two clothing companies, Primegate Enterprise Ltd. and Hayashida Co., Ltd., and has opened a few Shitateya Studio Ghibli shops so far.
Omotesandô Hills is a new shopping complex designed by architect Andô Tadao. The Shitateya Studio Ghibli shop is on the 2nd floor of the main building. Other men's clothing shops in Omotesandô Hills include Alfred Dunhill and Gieves & Hawkes.
