YTV Backpedals on Stand Alone Complex

Canadian Cable Network to Air Controversial Stand Alone Complex Episode on December 31
On November 11 YTV skipped their scheduled airing of the controversial Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episode "Jungle Cruise" (episode 10) without any prior warning.
During the next week they issued a short statement to the effect that the episode was not scheduled to air because "Our Programming Department just didn't think the graphic content was appropriate for our network, regardless of the show's airtime."
Today YTV has backtracked on that statement with an announcement that Jungle Cruise will air on December 31 (late night December 30) at 1:30am. The broadcast will be part of a two hour broadcast of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episodes.
The episode in question features a serial killer who skins his victims alive, and leaves them to die.

From time to time our Programming Department will exercise the option to reserve an episode of a series for an airtime that they feel would be more appropriate for that particular episode. So, although YTV didn't air episode 10 of Ghost in the Shell in sequence, we will be airing as part of an upcoming special b2b marathon.
Don't miss The Ghost in the Shell b2b marathon on Friday night, December 30 starting at 12am E/P!
12am- episode 4 Interceptor
12:30am- episode 5 Decoy
1am- episode 6 Meme
1:30am- episode 10 Jungle Cruise
We hope you'll be tuning in!
