YTV Skips Controversial Stand Alone Complex Episode Without Warning
Despite having scheduled it for last Friday's broadcast, YTV did not air the controversial Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex episode "Jungle Cruise" (episode 10). Instead, a repeat of episode 1 was shown.
With episode 1 scheduled again for the encore showing on November 17, and episode 11 scheduled to air on November 18, there are no more airing of "Jungle Cruise" currently scheduled on YTV.
The episode in question features a serial killer who skins his victims alive, and leaves them to die.
"Jungle Cruise" was shown several times on Adult Swim, preceded each time by a special disclaimer.
YTV gave no warning in their schedule, on their website, or via their regular anime mailer, about the episode cancellation.
