Nana Continues Strong at Japanese BO
posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Japanese movie Semi Shigure and American movie Sin City opened in Japanese movie theaters this weekend.
Meanwhile NANA (live action) continued strong during its fifth weekend of release. NANA, which opened in the number 1 box office position, has not fallen from the top 3 in all 5 weeks.
The only other manga related movie in the top ten this past weekend was Touch, the live action adaptation of Mitsuru Adachi's Touch manga. The Touch TV series recently placed 9th on a list a TV Asahi list of the top 100 anime TV series.
Initial D (live action) didn't fare quite so well, falling out of the top 10, only two weeks after it was released in Japan.
