An Anime version of Hisaichi Ishii's Manga, Nono-chan, is scheduled to begin airing on TV Asahi
network in the Tokyo area on July the 7th. Nono-chan began serialization in Asahi Shinbun as Tonari no Yamada-kun and was later renamed Nono-chan.
Studio Ghibli released a movie based on the Manga in 1999, Yamada-Kun was the first Ghibli created Anime to be painted and colored entirely on computer.
