CPM Acquires Yaoi Manga

CPM will likely introduce two new labels for Yaoi titles, one for titles aimed at 14 to 18-year-olds, and the other for 18+ material. The first releases under these new labels will be a number of Yaoi titles that CPM has acquired as part of a new relationship with the publishers of Be-Boy and Be-Boy Gold. These initial titles include Kizuna volumes 1-3, Kunshu-sama no Koi no Oaite, Kunshu-sama no Koi wa Katte! and Kin no Cain.

Kizuna, by Kazuma Kodaka, was first published in Japan in 1992 and is still being published in Be-Boy Gold, with eight collected volumes released to date. There are also three Kizuna OAVs. The first two OVAs have been released on one 60-minute DVD from gay & lesbian video specialist Ariztical.

Kunshu-sama no Koi no Oaite is by Naduki Koujima, the manga-ka responsible for other popular Yaoi publications like Kids Paradise and Bokura No Oukoku (Our Kingdom).

Kin no Cain, by the very productive Yū Asagiri (She has over 160 novels and manga published, including Midnight Panther, also licensed by CPM), is a one-volume manga that was originally published in Be Boy Comics and released in collected form earlier this year.
