Our own Press Release for once.
MONTREAL, June 30, 2002 – Anime News Network (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com) is proud to announce the launch of our Anime Encyclopedia, a single source of a huge amount of unbiased and definitive information about Anime.
Currently, the Encyclopedia (an interactive work in progress) holds information on 700+ Anime titles, 3500+ people and more. Over time our ultimate goal is to have information on every anime ever produced, however before launching we have included entries, many of them very detailed, on almost every Anime licensed in North America.
Come visit our Encyclopedia at http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/
ABOUT ANIME – Anime is Japanese Animation, from the pioneering work of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy (and before), to modern mega-blockbusters such Akira, Princess Mononoke and Ghost in the Shell. Different from North American animation in its artistic style, and breadth of genres including everything from children's stories, to adult orientated dramas through mystery stories and even pornography, Anime has become one of the fastest growing forms of entertainment in North America.
ABOUT ANIME NEWS NETWORK – Founded in 1998 Anime News Network is one of the few first rate sources of Anime News available on the Internet in the English language.
