1. Did Spike die or just collaspe at the end? It certainly is implied that he died.
2. How would you best describe the relationship between Spike and Faye? They didn't seem too interested in each other until the final two episodes.

Spike dies at the end, at least according to the creator of the series. He's dead. Kaput. People loved the show so they're willing to see past the obvious and make inferences. As for Spike and Faye… well, Spike is still in love with Julia, and Faye has her own problems to work out. There's hints at something between the two towards the end, but your guess is as good as mine. They seem like partners to me.
