Nanairo Kakumei Short Anime's 3rd Episode Streamed
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The official YouTube channel for Shueisha's Ribon shōjo magazine began streaming the third episode on Monday for the anime adaptation of Mizuka Yuzuhara's Nanairo Kakumei (Seven-Colored Revolution) manga.
In the short, NANA expects to be ostracized from her friends for declaring that she won't listen to Yuyu anymore, but instead, they say that they understand her. Unfortunately, it is Yuyu who is ostracized instead, with NANA's friends saying that they are doing it for NANA's sake. NANA thinks that they are overdoing it. Shioka tells NANA that he's disappointed in her, saying that he thinks that the NANA who cut her hair short and made a declaration in front of the class was cool. NANA tells Shioka that she wants to be like him, who can be himself.
The YouTube channel is streaming each episode before it airs on TV.
The three-episode anime is airing on October 6, 13, and 20, as segments within the children's television program Oha-Suta ("Good Morning Studio") on TV Tokyo. The cast consists of Reina Ueda as NANA, Shizuka Ishigami as Yuyu, and Daiki Yamashita as Shioka.
The "real friendship story" centers around NANA, who constantly finds herself unable to refuse the wishes of her childhood friend Yuyu—such as styling her hair the same or carrying the same accessories—even if she hates it. She decides she wants to change her attitude and won't follow everything Yuyu says anymore.
Yuzuhara launched the manga in Ribon in August 2014. Shueisha published the manga's third compiled book volume on September 25.
