Accel World Novels Inspire New Accel World: Infinite Burst Anime

A stage event at the Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival 2015 event revealed on Sunday that Reki Kawahara's Accel World light novel series is inspiring a new anime project titled Accel World: Infinite Burst. Kawahara is writing the story for the original new anime, and it will add new characters. The event showed footage for the new anime, but did not specify its format.

The Accel World television anime will receive a Blu-ray Box on December 23. It will feature the 24 television episodes, the two original video anime episodes bundled with the game, and the eight shorts. The first limited-edition copies will add a box with an exclusive illustration by HIMA, special five-disc Digipak packaging, three bonus CDs with "re acceleration BGM feat." Hiroyuki Oshima, MintJam, and onoken, and a booklet.
