Crunchyroll Celebrates the World of Anime at the Annecy Festival

Crunchyroll brings the international premiere of the soccer anime film BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI-, the anime series Zom 100 in the official TV competition section, and an Industry Panel to this year's festival

Paris, France (May 10, 2024) – Crunchyroll, the ultimate home for anime worldwide, will be attending the International Animation Film Festival of Annecy from June 11 to 14 in France. Crunchyroll brings the highly anticipated soccer anime BLUE LOCK THE MOVIE -EPISODE NAGI-, which will have its International Premiere as part of the newly announced ‘Annecy Presents’ section, and the anime horror comedy series Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, an official selection of the TV Films competition category. Additionally, Crunchyroll's SVP of Global Commerce Mitchel Berger will host an industry panel celebrating the world of anime.

The Annecy Festival inspires and rocks the world to the rhythm of animation by highlighting the creative dynamism and richness this sector represents. From exclusive presentations of the latest animated works to demonstrations of the latest and future trends via meetings with seasoned directors and emerging talents, the Annecy International Animation Festival is an exciting celebration in an exceptional setting. The official competition of the festival rewards every year short and feature films, series, graduation films and commissioned films, all made in animation.

SYNOPSIS

“That's a hassle.” That was second-year high schooler Nagi Seishiro's favorite phrase as he lived his dull life. Until Mikage Reo, a classmate who dreamed of winning the World Cup, discovered Nagi's hidden skill, inspiring him to play soccer and share his outstanding talent. One day, he receives an invitation to the mysterious BLUE LOCK Project. What awaits him there is an encounter with the finest strikers assembled from across the country. Nagi's dream of becoming the best, alongside Reo, will take this prodigy to a world he's never known.

A prodigy can only be shaped when someone discovers him….now, striker Nagi Seishiro's incredible talent and persona will set the soccer world ablaze..
