One Piece Gets 'Great Age of Pirates' Exhibit in Hong Kong

Exhibit features 16 zones, character sculptures; opens on November 24 with plans to tour in Asia

The official website for the One Piece franchise announced on Friday that the franchise will have an exhibit in Hong Kong titled "Great Age of Pirates" that will open on November 24, with plans to tour the exhibit in various Asian countries in 2023.

The exhibit will feature 16 zones that will contain sculptures of the characters, as well as mini-games where participants can win merchandise. The exhibit will also have a pop-up store that will have merchandise exclusive to the exhibit.

Neofilms opened One Piece Film Red, the latest film in the franchise, in Hong Kong on August 25. The film opened in Japan on August 6. The film has sold a total of 12.08 million tickets for a cumulative total of 16,644,349,890 yen (about US$113.9 million). The movie has become the franchise's highest-selling and highest-earning film installment, in terms of both the number of tickets sold and yen earned at the box office. The anime is both the #6 all-time highest-earning anime film in Japan and the #11 all-time highest earning film in Japan.
