Emiri Katō Teams Up with Re:Zero Artist in Curry Noodle Ad
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Nissin's Curry Meshi instant curry rice brand brought on the talents of illustrator Shinichirou Otsuka and voice actress Emiri Katō (Overlord, Monogatari series) to bring to life seven different curry girls. The characters exist in the future Tokyo of 2040 as hungry girls from all walks of life.
Katō voices the charmingly compassionate Ohdou, the Andromedian Machine-kai, the dog-like girl with cat ears Honpō, the selfish aristocrat from the depths of the Earth Togetoge, the person chosen to accept a legendary sacred treasure Kōhai B, the pure-hearted pretty warrior Yankee Junjō, and Toshie, the editor of a knitting magazine that lives in Jimbocho.
The ad's song "Hungry Pride" is performed by Maximum The Hormone, the same band behind themes from Death Note and Air Master.
Curry Meshi previously collaborated with The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls and The Idolm@ster SideM franchises.
