Nissin's Demonic Chicken Returns and It's Not Even His Final Form
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Earlier this year Nissin's Chicken Ramen instant noodles got a demonic makeover in an ad full of occult imagery and a bit of inspiration from Gō Nagai's Devilman. The ad shows Nissin's usually adorable chicken mascot Hiyoko-chan perform a demonic ritual "Akuma no Kimura," described by staff as a representation of an insatiable desire that exists with humanity.
Okay...
Hiyoko transforms into a much more intimidating chicken but a new ad released on Tuesday takes it a step further. After his capture, scientists attempt to rid Hiyoko of his infernal powers but, taking a cue from Dragon Ball, both foes find it hard to land an attack on one another. Hiyoko's powers have hardly been realized yet and his previous transformation isn't even his final form. What happens to the demonic Hiyoko when he adds corn and butter to the mix?
I'm power!

AKUMA NO BUTTERCORN!
I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to see what happens next to Nissin's once adorable mascot. You can learn more about Hiyoko-chan's demon form on his official website or try out the Buttercorn Chicken Ramen yourself.
