Japanese company Donuts has partnered with popular artists to create three new virtual YouTubers (VTubers). Himetsuru Sayuki, Kujō Kasumi, and Tsukimiya Shizuku debuted in late September with character designs by Tiv (Masamune-kun's Revenge, Heaven's Memo Pad manga), Hiro Kanzaki (Eromanga Sensei, Oreimo light novel illustrations), and Tyabaneko (Kanpani☆Girls), respectively.

The first video for Korean artist Tiv's character Sayuki began streaming on September 28. The character's self-introduction video below includes both Japanese and English subtitles.
As Sayuki explains in the video, she likes Japanese martial arts. Her favorite food is ramen.
Kasumi and Shizuku have yet to release content on their YouTube channels. However, they have introduced themselves on Twitter with audio clips and tweeted messages to followers.

Kasumi revealed in a tweet that she gained an interest in video games after playing Yakuza. Shizuku gets excellent grades, but she said she's embarrassed to be called a genius.
The popularity of virtual YouTubers has been gaining steam since last year. With more than 1,000 registered accounts so far, there is no telling which artists might lend their talents to the trend next.
