I met Monica Rial back in February and she told me in secrecy that she going to be in the dub for The Vexation of a Shut-in Vampire Princess.

Helck ended just before the final arc of the manga....sad, 13 more episodes and they could adapt everything.

I had this horrible thought when I saw the announcement, that Helck would be voiced by Andrew Love. It wouldn't make sense, but I just had this feeling they would. If anything, this should have been the one time that they reached out to Chris Sabat, because he's a perfect match for this chaarcter.
The rest of the cast looks good, Luci Christian should make for a good young Helck. |

Helck got lost in a flashback that killed the show. I love that Vexations of a Vampire Shut In is getting dubbed, it's a nice little one season that works well as it is.
And I had to look up to check "isn't it Last Boss Queen?" Lost Boss Queen would be... curious I guess. |

It's cool that they're dubbing these shows! I was worried they'd be sub-only for the foreseeable future. Especially Last Boss Queen.

Those flashbacks were my favorite part of the series. Until that point Helck was just an OP idiot with no real clear motivations to side with the demons. By the end of the flashbacks we found out just how dire things had become for the human race and where Helck's occasional darkness came from. Was it long? Sure, but it was good! I don't see a problem with flashbacks when it's new content. Not all stories need to continuously move forward and some need to go backwards to make the present make sense. Emerje |
