Elex Media Komputindo imprint Level Comics announced on its Facebook page on August 20 that it has licensed Setona Mizushiro's Heartbroken Chocolatier (Un chocolatier de l'amour perdu or Shitsuren Chocolatier) manga, and will publish the first volume in Indonesia in September. Level Comics is also offering a four-page preview of the Indonesian version on its Facebook page.
The story follows Sōta Koyurugi, a young man who loves making sweets and now goes to confectionery school. He has known his sempai Saeko since he had a crush on her during high school. However, she rejected a Valentine's date with him, so Sōta goes all out in making the ultimate chocolate as a present for her.
Mizushiro launched the manga in Monthly Flowers' spinoff magazine Rinka in 2008, but then she moved it to Monthly Flowers itself. Mizushiro concluded the manga in February. The manga won the award for Best Shōjo Manga in the 36th Annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2012. Shogakukan published the manga's ninth and final compiled book volume on February 15.
An 11-episode live-action television series adaptation of the manga premiered on Fuji TV in January 2014.
