Although fans have created impressive cosplay of the Fate character Artoria Pendragon and her sword, another official version of Saber's weapon is in the works. The three-part Fate/stay night: Heaven's Feel anime film project is collaborating with Bandai's high-end toy line Proplica to reproduce Saber's Excalibur: Sword of Promised Victory.
The life-size sword will feature lights, sounds, and Saber's voice. The sword will be 115 centimeters (about 45 inches) long and faithfully recreate the weapon from the anime. New recordings of Saber's voice will be made for the sword. The recreation will also replicate Excalibur's Invisible Air: Bounded Field of the Wind King sheath, which makes Saber's sword invisible in the anime.
A sample of the sword debuted at Aniplex's booth at the "Fate/Grand Order Fes. 2017 〜2nd Anniversary〜" event, which was held at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba on Saturday and Sunday.
