Digimon ReArise Smartphone Game's Video Reveals Cast, Theme Song

The official website for Bandai Namco Entertainment's Digimon Re:Arise smartphone game began streaming a new promotional video for the game on Wednesday. The video reveals the game's cast and previews the theme song "The Future Is Now" by Straightener. The site also revealed a visual for the game by Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru on Sunday.
The cast includes:
- Rie Takahashi as Michi Shinjō
- Yūma Uchida as Takumi Hiiragi
- Minami Tanaka as Mayu Kohinata
- Miyu Irino as Keito Tamada
- Risa Taneda as Erismon
- Natsumi Takamori as Plotmon
- Takuya Eguchi as Dorumon
- Mariya Ise as Kudamon
- Tasuku Hatanaka as Elecmon
- Chika Sakamoto as Agumon
The game is slated to launch this summer.
The "friendship evolution Digimon RPG" will be free to play with the option to purchase items. Players will be able to visit a town to interact with and befriend Digimon. The story involves the sudden appearance of Digimon from the player's smartphone, and a sudden powerful force that attacks.
The most recent Digimon smartphone game, Digimon Links, launched in Japan in March 2016 and in English in October.
