Sega Opens VR Entertainment Center in Tokyo's Akihabara on May 31

Sega announced on its official Twitter account on Monday that it is launching a virtual-reality entertainment center called "Sega VR Area Akihabara" on the sixth floor of its Club Sega Akihabara Shinkan building on May 31. Sega bills the new facility as the "first VR attraction facility in Japan."

Sega already operates the Zero Latency VR game in collaboration with the Zero Latency company at the Tokyo JOYPOLIS in Odaiba.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is opening a similar center in Shinjuku named "VR Center Shinjuku" on June 13. Billed as Japan's largest, it will include a Neon Genesis Evangelion VR experience this summer. Bandai Namco Entertainment's Project i Can alsoran a VR "experience center" at the Diver City Tokyo Plaza in Tokyo from April to October last year.
