Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag Smartphone Game Announced

Bandai Namco Entertainment announced during a live stream on Monday that it will release a iOS and Android game titled Sword Art Online: Memory Defrag. The company began streaming a trailer introducing the characters and gameplay. The game is slated to launch this summer in Japan, and it will be free-to-play with the option of in-game purchases.
The side-scroll-type action RPG will feature both the television show's story and an original story. It will support online play.
Bandai Namco Entertainment is holding a preregistration campaign where all customers preregistering will receive in-game gifts. The number of bonuses will depend on the number of preregistered users. The rewards include five memory diamonds, apron and kitchen knife equipment, and Asuna in a camisole.
Bandai Namco Entertainment previously released the Sword Art Online: Code Register mobile game.
