posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The October issue of Bessatsu Friend magazine is announcing on Saturday that the special edition of Junko's fifth Watashi ga Motete Dōsunda (What's The Good of Me Being Popular, or Boys, kiss him instead of me) volume will bundle a drama CD. The bundle will ship on January 13, 2015. The CD will adapt the manga's first chapter, and it will also include an original story by Junko and a bonus talk session with the voice cast. It will have the following cast:
- Hiroshi Kamiya as Hayato Shinomiya
- Yoshimasa Hosoya as Yūsuke Igarashi
- Takahiro Sakurai as Asuma Mutsumi
- Tatsuhisa Suzuki as Nozomu Nanashima
- Kana Hanazawa as Kae Serinuma
- Chinatsu Akasaki as Shima Nishina
Crunchyroll is releasing the manga online as it is published in Bessatsu Friend in Japan, and it describes the story:
Kae Serinuma is what you'd call a "fujoshi." When she sees boys getting along with each other, she loves to indulge in wild fantasies! One day her favorite anime character dies and the shock causes her to lose a ton of weight. Then four hot guys at school ask her out, but that isn't exciting to her at all — she'd rather see them date each other!
Junko began the manga in Bessatsu Friend last year, and Kodansha will publish the fourth compiled volume on September 12.
