Sound Horizon's Next Music Video Will Be Entirely Anime Footage
posted on by Egan Loo
The next music video from Sound Horizon, the musical act led by composer Revo, will be entirely composed of animated footage. Sound Horizon will release its next song "Yodaka No Hoshi" (The Nighthawk Star) on October 1. The song is inspired by the children's story of the same name by acclaimed author Kenji Miyazawa (Night on the Galactic Railroad, Guskō Budori no Denki).
Kamikaze Douga, the studio behind the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure television anime's opening sequences, is adapting the song into anime. According to Sound Horizon's promotion, the group is challenging itself with new forms of expression, as it marks the 10th anniversary of its major label debut with this song.
Revo gained new fans when he created the theme songs for the Attack on Titan anime under the name Linked Horizon. He then performed the anime's first opening theme song "Guren no Yumiya" at last year's heavily watched Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Red and White Song Battle) competition on NHK.
